*   *   Bembridge to Saint Helen's   *   *

All walkers went to Bembridge Harbour.

The walk went along the south side of the harbour to St Helens. From the Old Tide Mill (now a private house) we passed along the causeway between the mill pond and the harbour and then went around to Duver beach for coffee. 25 minutes after coffee the walk and holiday was over.

A FEW NOTES

John Francis

JOHN FRANCIS did everything.

He organised the holiday's hotel, the coach and the payments.

He planned all the walks and then led them all as well.

He even modified walks to our actual pace so we arrived at the hotel at a reasonable time and curtailed the last day's walking because pending rain may have drenched us before boarding the coach for home: and he always ensured the coach was waiting to pick us up.

Thanks John
